18 Dogs Brought to Safety After Urgent Rescue in Middle Georgia

Yesterday, our team traveled to middle Georgia after being asked to assist with an urgent situation involving 18 dogs. Working alongside local partners, our team safely secured each dog and began the journey back to Atlanta, where their recovery can begin.

Once the dogs arrive at Atlanta Humane, their Shelter Medicine Team will complete comprehensive medical evaluations and develop individualized care plans for each one. Some may only need a nutritious meal, rest, and time to decompress. Others will require diagnostics, medication, ongoing medical treatment, or specialized behavior support before they're ready for the next chapter of their lives.
