Resources for animal welfare organizations.

Every community deserves a strong safety net for animals, and no organization should have to build it alone. Operation Humane equips shelters, animal control teams, and frontline advocates with the tools, training, and support they need to protect animals with confidence. These resources strengthen local capacity, close critical gaps in care, and ensure partners across Georgia can act decisively when animals and the people who care for them need help most.

Funding shelters in Georgia.

Thanks to funding from The Rachael Ray Foundation, our Shelter Improvement Program can help shelters in our state strengthen the spaces animals rely on. Guided by ASV Standards, this funding supports upgrades that create safer, healthier environments for the animals in their care and for the people showing up for them every day. These improvements reinforce a network of prepared partners who can protect animals with confidence and consistency.

Our Shelter Improvement Project serves animal welfare organizations and shelters across Georgia who are working to improve their facilities so animals receive the level of care they deserve. This program supports teams who are committed, hands-on, and determined to build stronger foundations for their communities.

How to Support

This program is powered by a dedicated grant from The Rachael Ray Foundation. While public donations don’t fund these facility upgrades, your support of Operation Humane strengthens the larger network of partners working across the state. Every contribution helps us protect animals, connect organizations, and serve communities with the expertise and resources they need.

Providing pet food support.

Who it Serves

No family should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets. Our distribution network helps reduce surrender and keeps pets safely at home.

How to Access

We work with human and animal organizations to ensure food gets to the communities that need them the most.

To inquire on behalf of your organization, please complete this form.

Once submitted, our team will work with you to understand current inventory, community demand, and distribution capacity. As a proactive partner, we aim to strengthen your efforts, not complicate them. Together, we can extend your reach.

This program is powered by public donations, both financial and in-kind. Every contribution helps us keep pet food on shelves and in the hands of families who need it most. When you give, you protect the bond between people and their animals.

To purchase food from our Amazon Wishlist, please click here. All donations through this list will be delivered to our warehouse for distribution. At this time, we are only able to accept drop-off donations at the Atlanta Humane Society, located at 1551 Perry Blvd NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30318.
